COVID-19 cases in Bicol Region rise to 77
The number of coronavirus cases in Bicol Region has reached 77 as of yesterday night, the Department of Health Center for Health Development – Bicol reported.
This, after two new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were recorded after three (3) consecutive days of no new recorded COVID positive.
The 76th confirmed case of COVID-19 is a 46-year old Filipino male from Legazpi City, Albay. He arrived in Legazpi City from Batangas on June 2, 2020, and was immediately quarantined at Legazpi Quarantine Facility.The patient is asymptomatic.
Meanwhile, 27-year old Filipino male from Bacacay, Albay is the 77th confirmed case of COVID-19. He has a history of travel from Antipolo, Rizal and arrived on June 2, 2020. He is also asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility.
The Health department also appealed to the public not to be complacent and strictly observe health protocols.
“The public is strongly advised to strictly follow community quarantine procedures as well as precautionary measures including proper hand washing, social distancing, cough etiquette, disinfection of commonly used objects, use of facemask, healthy lifestyle and to stay at home. Everyone’s cooperation is crucial in this time of crisis,” the DOH Bicol said.
