Bicol except Albay under Modified GCQ from June 1-15
LEGAZPI CITY – All provinces in the Bicol region except Albay have been reclassified from general community quarantine (GCQ) to modified GCQ on Thursday by the National Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID).
In its newly approved classification of community quarantine status, the national task force placed under MGCQ those low-risk provinces in the country including Bicol.
Albay province, however, has retained its GCQ status.
The classifications of the quarantine status were based on the recommendation of the IATF sub-Technical Working Group (TWG) on Data Analytics.
Meanwhile, Legazpi City Noel Rosal refused to comment on the new classification pending the official announcement of Malacañang.
“Wait muna tayo official announcement ng Malacañang mamaya kung ano na po tayo sa June 1…basta sunod po muna tayo.. mask (Let’s wait for the official statement of the Malacañang later on what will be our status on June 1..let’s just follow the protocols on using face mask), proper physical distancing and proper hygiene,” he said.
Rosal added that the borders of Albay must still be under control. (PNA)
