Mayor Panaligan appeals to IATF to allow motorcycle back riders for family members
Calapan City Mayor Arnan Panaligan has appealed to the inter-agency task-force on coronavirus disease 2019 to allow motorcycle back riders for family members.
Panaligan’s letter of appeal has been submitted to Secretary Francisco Duque of the Deparment of Health and Cabinet Secretary Karlo Alexei Nograles, chairperson and co-chairperson, respectively of IATF
Panaligan said that backriding in motorcycle is needed by families that need to go back to work amid the eased community lockdown.
In his letter, Panaligan said that it would be safer for family members to back ride with their family in motorcycles than subject them to risks in riding the public transportation.
“For practical purposes, their filiation or proof of relationship can be verified in checkpoints through their valid certification cards or similar documents,” said the mayor.
