Albay gov’t acquires more COVID19 rapid test kits
The Albay provincial government announced that it has acquired more coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) rapid test kits.
“To hold out with our ongoing battle against COVID-19, the Provincial Government of Albay procured COVID19 Rapid Test Kits, surgical masks and surgical gloves for use in the screening and monitoring of Covid-19 cases in Albay,” the provincial Capitol said.
The newly acquired supplies were handed over to the Albay Provincial Health Office last Tuesday, May 19 at the Governor’s Guesthouse.
Meanwhile, the Albay provincial government also continues to support Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) program.
Through Albay Provincial Agricultural Office, they continue to distribute rice seeds and fertilizers in every local government unit in the province.
“The LGUs were given priority in the distribution due to early planting in their respective areas. As of May 11, APAO has already distributed a total of 3, 822 of certified seeds. Each bag of seed weighs 20 kilos. The PGA is coordinating with PhilRice for the next schedule of distribution to the LGUs,” said the Capitol.
