Residents of Occidental Mindoro who lost their homes to typhoon Ursula last year are have gotten relief from the government.

Fortunately, the Department of Social Welfare and Development was able to provide them with Emergency Shelter Assistance at Cash for Work assistance.

Occidental Mindoro Rep. Josephine Ramirez Sato joined the distribution of the cash and wished the residents well.

In a Facebook post, she said she hopes it would help them get back on their feet.

Other towns in the province would get the cash assistance next, she added.

she also thanked the residents for being orderly and for following health protocols such as wearing face masks and observing physical distancing during the distribution of the assistance.

After all, nobody wants to get COVID 19 especially after being hit by a typhoon!
