Vice President Leni Robredo is pleased that her community mart project is off to a promising start.

Robredo paid a surprise visit to its operations recently to check on the market vendors and the tricycle drivers delivering the online orders of Quezon City residents.

In a Facebook post, she said they told her that the project is a blessing to them.

The vendors have extra income, while the tricycle drivers are regularly earning after two months of being under lockdown.

She thanked her team at the Office of the Vice President for bringing this to life and passionately serving without rest.

Se also thanked the other people involved in the project, including Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte.

It’s not all stories of woe amid the quarantine.

There are successful projects that produce happy stories!

“Made a surprise visit to our Community Mart this morning to check on our team, our vendors and TODA drivers. Ang happy lang!! They were telling us how much of a blessing this project is to them. Sa mga vendors, dagdag kita!! Sa mga drivers, ngayon lang uli sila nagkaroon ng kita after two months.

Thank you to the OVP Team who has been passionately serving without any day off since we started. Thank you to Mayor Joy, Mona and the entire QC LGU Team and the Nueca Community Mart Team for this partnership. Thank you also for the Barangay Officials of Bgy Kamuning for giving us a temporary home and to the Kamuning Market Office officials and staff,” Robredo posted.
