Legacion: No COVID-19 case in Naga for 12 days now

Mayor Nelson Legacion said that for 12 consecutive days, Naga City has not recorded any coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) case.

“The city is currently without any confirmed case of COVID19, the 6th patient having already tested NEGATIVE after a 2nd swab test,” Legacion said.

“Moreover, it’s now 12 days that we don’t have such confirmed COVID19 case beginning last April 29,” it added.

However, the mayor said that this is not the time to be complacent as he urged the Naguenos to remain vigilant.

“Nonetheless, we cannot let our guards down! We must remain vigilant. COVID19 may still be around us, even outside Naga and within Camarines Sur,” he said.

“In fact, a newly confirmed case of COVID19, labeled as Bikol#51, a 23-year old female from Tigaon, Camarines Sur, was announced just last Friday by DOH. In Bicol, the total of COVID19 cases is now 59,” he added.

Legacion urged the Naga City residents to stay at home and follow the health measures in place.

“DO NOT GO OUT unless extremely necessary,” said Legacion.
