Palawan Capitol distributes PPEs to hospital frontliners
The Palawan provincial government has distributed the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the frontliners in various hospitals and Rural Health Units (RHU) in the province.
PDRRM Officer Jeremias Alili said that around 60% of the PPEs purchased by the province were already distributed to the frontliners in the province though the private plane of Governor Jose Ch. Alvarez.
“Aniya, agad na sinimulan ang pamamahagi nito para may magamit na proteksiyon ang mga frontliners na patuloy na lumalaban sa Coronavirus Disease 2019,” the Capitol said.
“Ang mga dumating na PPE ay kinabibilangan ng 600 piraso ng coverall, 6,800 piraso ng N95 face masks, 92 piraso ng non-contact thermometer, 13,500 piraso ng surgical masks, 1,200 piraso ng face shield at 1,000 piraso ng goggles,” it added.
Meanwhile, the Capitol said that it will distribute the remaining PPEs and other medical equipment to the province in the coming days.
Palawan Governor Alvarez earlier expressed his gratitude to the SM Foundation for providing assistance to the province’s frontliners.
The foundation arm of SM Group has provided personal protective equipment as well as other medical supplies to the frontliners in Palawan battling the coronavirus disease.
