Youngest COVID patient from Calapan may be discharged from hospital by Thursday, Gov. Dolor says
The youngest coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patient in the country can be possibly discharged from the hospital at least by Thursday, Oriental Mindoro Governor Humerlito Dolor said.
Oriental Mindoro earlier reported that its first COVID-19 case is a 21-month-old baby from Calapan City.
Dolor shared his correspondence with the doctor taking care of the baby:
At 8:25 am “Gud morning gov..update on pt..playful, no more iv fluids, now on oral medications to complete until thursday. Companions are asymptomatic. Possible discharge thursday or early friday.”
5:28pm “Ok na baby….wala na swero..oral meds nalang pinapainom ko gov.. Wait lang natin result nun re-test, sana negative na para pwede na umuwi..”
“Yes gov..well na,..treated na lahat specially the pneumonia..” the doctor added.
Meanwhile, Governor Dolor is praying for the swift recovery of the baby.
“Patuloy po tayong manalangin para sa tuluyan ng paggaling ni Baby Patient at maging negative na ang result ng re-test niya,” said the governor.
