CamSur readies 500,000 food packs for residents
Camarines Sur Governor Miguel Villafuerte announced that the provincial government will distribute 500,000 food packs to the families in the province amid the coronavirus disease pandemic,.
“The Province has already prepositioned 250 thousand foodpacks with 5kilos of rice each and distribution has already started today,” Villafuerte said,
“250k more foodpacks are being prepared for purchase and distribution to reach all families in the province,” he added.
The Governor also said that all families in the province will be given food packs as he sought the understanding of his constituents for possible logistics delay.
“LAHAT ay bibigyan, kaya pinasiguro namin na ang mga empleyado ng Kapitolyo ang personal na mag-abot sa bawat barangay upang maiwasan ang isyu ng pilian at pulitika sa gitna ng krisis na ating kinakaharap,” Villafuerte said,
“Hinihingi ang pasensya at pang-unawa ng lahat na maghintay at makipagtulungan. 1,036 na barangay ang aming iikutin at bawat sona/zone ay may nakatalagang distribution/pick-up center kung saan mahigpit na ipinatutupad ang social distancing, isang tao kada pamilya lamang ang maaaring magpunta, at pinagbabawal ang umpukan at pagtambay,” he said.
Villafuerte said tha going out to receive the food packs will be allowed as an exemption to the enhanced community quarantine.
