P58M Sipcot-Cabusao Road project in CamSur on track for completion


The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said that the road widening project along Sipcot-Cabusao Road in Cabusao, Camarines Sur is on track for completion for the first quarter of the year.

DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, citing a report from District Engineer Edy Ferdinand R. Joven of DPWH Camarines Sur 1st District Engineering Office, said that a P58-million project in Barangay Pandan is now 89% completed..

“This is a 2-kilometer portion of Sipocot-Cabusao Road being widened from two (2) lanes to four (4) lanes to provide additional road space to our motorists traversing other areas of Cabusao,” said Secretary Villar said in a statement.

Villar said that his department aiming to finish the project at least by end March if the weather permits

“We aim to complete the road improvement project early this year, hopefully within the first quarter of the year if weather permits,” added Secretary Villar.

The widening of Sipocot-Cabusao Road which started civil works in July 2019, is funded by the 2019 General Appropriations Act.
