Palawan gov’t, ADB team up to develop Coron, El Nido
The Palawan provincial government and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) held a meeting to discuss the development of Coron and El Nido as tourist destination.
The event was dubbed as “Transforming El Nido and Coron into Resilient, Inclusive and Sustainable Tourism Communities: Presentation of Proposed ADB Partnership”
It was held at the VJR Hall of the Capitol last January 18.
“Tinalakay sa nasabing pagupulong ang pagpapatayo ng mga pampublikong imprastraktura, pangkabuhayan at maging ilang proyektong may kaugnayan sa disaster management and preparedness,” the provincial government said.
Present during the meeting were Governor Jose Ch. Alvarez, Vice Governor Victorino Dennis Socrates, Chief of Staff Atty. Edwin Enrile of the Department of Tourism, Engr. Saylito Purisima of the Provincial Engineering Office, Ann Michelle Cardenas of IHELP-Infrastructure Water Program among others.
Also in attendance were representatives of El Nido, San Vicente, and Coron.
