Naga City Mayor Nelson Legacion has spearheaded the cleanup today even amid the rainy weather.

“The heavy rains this morning did not dissuade us from continuing with our clean up operation,” Legacion said.

The Mayor also thanked all those people who volunteered to clean up the streets of Naga City.

“Deserving of special commendation are Tio Abraham Del Rosario and Tio Jaime Cea who, despite their ages, 72 and 76, respectively, chose to show their love for the city,” the mayor said.

Legacion also recognized the Committee on Environment Chairpersons headed by the Federation President, Kgd Joe Caguimbal, the Kalinigan Warriors of the 27 Barangays and the group of Happy Souls.

Naga City was one of the areas severely hit by Typhoon Tisoy last week.
