Calapan City braces for Typhoon Tisoy


Calapan City Mayor Arnan C. Panaligan convened the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (CDRRMC) today to prepare for Typhoon Tisoy.

“Standard operating procedures and measures were implemented to ensure the safety of the people and the prompt and effective response of the concerned agencies,” said the Office of the Mayor.

Panaligan also suspended the classes in all levels tomorrow and on Tuesday.

“Classes in all levels, public and private schools, in Calapan City are SUSPENDED tomorrow, Monday, Dec. 2, 2019 and Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019 due to Typhoon Tisoy that is expected to affect Calapan City by tomorrow,” Panaligan’s office said.

“Resumption of classes on Wednesday, Dec. 4, will depend on the situation. Please be guided accordingly,” it added.

Typhoon Tisoy has already entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility yesterday. It has maintained its strength as it gears towards Bicol Region.
