Palawan Gov. Alvarez leads unveiling of new Bataraza District Hospital
Palawan Governor Jose Ch. Alvarez has led the inauguration of the new Bataraza District Hospital last November 10.
Alvarez said that the hospital will be of great help for the residents near the area, particularly the Indigenous Peoples Community.
“Congratulations Bataraza, brand new ang hospital at mga doctor, handa na talagang magserbisyo ang ospital… Sa labinlimang hospital sa Palawan, 10 doctors ang minimum na ilalagay natin dyan,” Alvarez said.
“Ang hospital ay i-uupgrade natin, pagkatapos ng plebisito…To the doctors, congratulations sa inyong pagsakripisyo…patuloy ang pag unlad ng Palawan…”, added Alvarez.
The sais hospital was funded jointly by the Provincial Government and the Department of Health (DOH)-CHD MIMAROPA under its Health Facilities Enhancement Program.
“Ang pondong ginugol sa pagtatayo ng ospital ay mula sa DOH-CHD MIMAROPA na umabot sa halagang P49,750,000.00,” the province said.
“Samantala, ang pagbili ng mga kagamitang pang-medikal at finishing touches ng gusali kabilang ang general requirements, handrail, excavation, concrete works, formworks, floor and wall finishing, ceiling works, roofing system, waterline works, electrical works, manholes at inlets ay counterpart ng pamahalaang panlalawigan sa proyekto na tinatayang aabot sa humigit-kumulang isandaang milyong piso sa kabuuan,’ it added.
The facilities of the Bataraza Hospital include pharmacy, laboratory, private rooms, pediatric ward, emergency room, radiology, operating/delivery room, labor room, male and female surgical ward, counseling room and social services office.
