Ako Bicol Rep. Garbin meets with new batch of interns
Ako Bicol Rep. Alfredo Garbin, Jr. has formally met with the interns of the partylist yesterday.
“Congressman Alfredo A. Garbin Jr. met with the new interns of Ako Bicol in it’s regional headquarters last October 29, 2019 in Embarcadero De Legazpi in Legazpi City,” said the partylist.
“Garbin welcomed the new interns and shared his knowledge about the Government Internship Program, it’s importance and the training the new interns will undergo,” it added.
The solon also shared “vital ideas” on how the interns should value the learnings they will aquire over the period of their internship.
The interns form part the newest batch of beneficiaries of the Government Internship Program (GIP).
“In partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the program seeks to involve the out-of-school youth and the underprivileged, and make use of their abilities and skills in the bureaucracy as an alternative intervention to the lack of employment opportunities in the region,” said the partylist.
