Palawan Capitol hails task force that captures alleged NPA members

The Palawan Capitol has recognized four operating units of the Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF- ELCAC) for its successful operation last October 4.

The said operation resulted to the apprehension of seven alleged members of the New People’s Army.

The operating units that received recognition were Joint Task Force Peacock of the Western Command, 3rd Marine Brigade, Puerto Princesa City Police Office, and tge Palawan Provincial Police Office.

“Ang pagbibigay ng pagkilala ay pinangunahan ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) sa pamamagitan ni Provincial Director Rey Maranan kasama sina VADM Rene V. Medina, Commander ng Western Command, Brig. General Charlton Sean Gaerlan ng 3rd Marine Brigade at Provincial Administrator Atty. Joshua Bolusa bilang kinatawan ni Governor Jose Ch. Alvarez,” said the province.

The Awarding of Commendation was held last October 11 at the VJR Hall, Palawan Provincial Capitol.

In attendance during the ceremony were members of the Task Force-ELCAC.

“Ang Task Force ay binubuo ng 12 Clusters sa bisa ng Executive No. 70 na nilagdaan ni pangulong Rodrigo Duterte. Ang tumatayong Chairman ng Task Force sa lalawigan ay si Gobernador Jose Chaves Alvarez,” said the province.

“Pagkatapos nang pagbibigay ng pagkilala ay iginawad din sa informant ang cash reward na P 50,000 mula sa Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Palawan dahil naging positibo ang pagbibigay ng impormasyon nito. Kasunod nito ang pagsasagawa ng press conference ng Task Force ELCAC upang bigyang-linaw ang ilang mga detalye kaugnay sa pagkakahuli ng mga pinaghihinalaang miyembro ng NPA sa Palawan,” it added.
