CamSur is Ready! 40-day responders training kicks off in Camarines Sur

As part of its campaign to be always ready in times of emengency, a 40 day Provincial Responders Training in Camarines Sur kicked off last October 14.

Camarines Sur Governor Miguel Villafuerte said that more than 60 representatives from the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire and Protection, Philippine Army, and Infantry Batallions were oriented for the 40-day Provincial Responders Training.

“The training is comprised of four courses, namely, pre-hospital care, basic firefighting, rope rescue, and water search and rescue,” said Villafuerte.

“The provincial government, through the Environment, Disaster Management, and Emergency Response Office, will hold the training to capacitate the member agencies of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) for high-level disaster response,’ he added.

The governor said that training aims to equip the responders the proper skills in
disaster risk management.

“Through this event, the PDRRMC also aims to develop an integrated, multi-sectoral, and inter-agency community-based approach to disaster risk management,” said the governor.
