Naga City Mayor Legacion commends two outstanding Nagueño students
The Naga City government has lauded two Nagueño students for after being named regional awardee of the 57th Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOPS).
Mayor Nelson Legacion personally handed the plaque of recognition to Maryvil Ortiz Rebancos and Audrey Jescel during the flag raising ceremony yesterday.
“Through SP Resolution No. 2019-263, the Local Government of Naga commended Maryvil Ortiz Rebancos and Audrey Jescel during the flag raising ceremony [yesterday] for their academic excellence, exemplary leadership, and deep sense of social responsibility, making them regional awardee of the 57th Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOPS),” the city government said.
“Rebancos and Escoto, both part of the Naga City Youth Officials program in 2017, are now qualified in the National Search for the TOPS,” it added.
Meanwhile, Mayor Legacion welcomed in his office Commissioner Laurence Anthony D. Diestro representing Luzon of the National Youth Commission (NYC) yesterday.
“The NYC will meet with the presidents of the SK Federation and the Local Youth Development Officers of Camarines Sur, to facilitate a brainstorming activity and clarify issues under the SK reform law,” said the city government.
