Narra, Palawan gets Community Enhancement and Livelihood Program for Drug Surrenderees

The Community Enhancement and Livelihood Program for Drug Surrenderees (CELPDS)-Continuing Care Phase (CELPDS)-Continuing Care Phase for Drug Surrenderees (CELPDS)-Continuing Care Phase has been successfully launched in Narra, Palawan.

The opening was held last August 6 at the Center Point Municipal Building, Barangay Poblacion, Narra.

“Bahagi ng paglulunsad ang paglagda sa isang Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) sa pagitan ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan at Narra Mayor Gerandy Danao kasama ang siyam na mga punong barangay ng Narra na kinabibilangan nina Mauro E. Gapuz ng Antipuluan, Felomina H. Janiva ng Malinao, Rizaldy B. Roman ng Princess Urduja, Alonzo S. Eleazar ng Aramaywan, Rudy B. Cayanan ng Caguisan, Ernesto B. Ferrer JR. ng Bato-Bato, Roderick S. Aperocho ng Poblacion, Macario L. Barrientos ng Tacras at Reynaldo B. Dela Rosa ng Panacan 2,” the province said.

“Dumalo rin sa naturang aktibidad sina Dr. Romeo Cabungcal, officer-in-charge ng Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA), Atty. Ariel Abis, representante ng Provincial Legal Office, at ilang kawani ng Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Provincial Health Office, Tanggapan ng Gobernador, at representante mula sa Provincial PNP,” it added

Meanwhile, the Balabac town has already started implementation of CELPDS, particularly in Bancalaan.

“Itinakda ang CELP upang maglaan ng epektibong mekanismo para sa buong mamamayan sa Palawan; para maiahon at matulungan ang ating mamamayan na minsang nalugmok at naligaw ng landas dahil sa ipinagbabawal na droga,” said IBN Asri S. Kuhutan, team leader of CELPDS.
