Albay Board Member Vic Ziga Jr. shares tips on how to protect yourself from dengue
Albay Board Member Vic Ziga Jr. has some timely advice now that there is a dengue alert up in several regions the country,
On Facebook, Ziga shared the call of Albay Gov. Al Francis Bichara to take steps to avoid contracting the mosquito-borne illness.
Ziga encouraged people to practice the 4S: search and destroy mosquito-breeding sites, self-protection, seek early consultation, and support fogging to prevent outbreaks.
These won’t seem much especially knowing how dangerous dengue can be.
Truly, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!
“Dugang na impormasyon:
Dengue Alert up in the Bicol region
Health Secretary Francisco T. Duque III today declared Dengue Alert Status in selected regions in the country, including the Bicol region in response to the rapidly increasing number of cases observed in the Philippines.
Albay Governor Gov. Al Francis C. Bichara has also called on Albayanos to bear in mind that “prevention is better than cure.”
The Department of Health (DOH) will also be giving logistical support to Regions IVB, VI, VII and X where the epidemic threshold have exceeded.
Everyone is encouraged to do the 4S against Dengue:
