Governor-elect Escudero aims to make Sorsogon ISO-certified

Sorsogon Governor-elect Chiz Escudero has led the launching of a new program which aims to make the province an ISO certified.

Escudero led today the launching of “The Development of a Province-Wide Quality Management System (QMS) Certifiable to ISO 9001: 201.”

The outgoing senator said that he wants the province to receive the ISO certification by next year.

“By early next year, the QMS of Sorsogon will hopefully be ISO-certified so we can deliver efficient, cost-effective, and corrupt-free services to our people,” said Escudero.

The governor-elect aims the project to be completed in just eight months from July 2019 to February 2020.

Its scope includes the 52 local government units in Sorsogon, seven national government agencies, and ten small and medium sized enterprises.

Escudero will formally assume the gubernatorial post on June 30.
