P11M Rural Health Unit to be constructed in Balabac, Palawan
A three in one large-scale Rural Health Unit will soon to rise in Brgy. Bangcalaan in Balabac town in Palawan.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held last June 5 attended by key Department of Health officials.
“Ang konstruksiyon ng naturang 3-in-1 large-scale RHU ay magkatuwang na popondohan ng Department of Health (DOH) sa ilalim ng kanilang trust fund at Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Palawan na may kabuoang pondo na mahigit P11 Milyon,” the province said.
The RHU has a size of 51meters (width) x 27 meters (length) and it is targeted to be finished within 300 calendar days.
The leaders of the Brgy. Bangcalaan has expressed gratitude for choosing their area to be the home of the said RHU.
“Maraming salamat po sa Pamahalaang Panlalawigan at DOH dahil hindi nila kinalimutan ‘yung aming barangay para lagyan ng Rural Health Unit, sobrang malaki ang maitutulong nito. Marami rito sa amin ang nagkakasakit tuwing tag-ulan,” said Barangay captain Rolly Reyes.
Meanwhile, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Barangay Health Station (BHS) to be built in Barangay Sibaring, also in Balabac was also held.
“Ang single-storey BHS ay may kabuoang pondo na P1.9 Milyon na magkatuwang na popondohan ng DOH at Pamahalaang Panlalawigan. Ang nasabing BHS na may sukat na 8.95mx12.35m ay inaasahang matatapos sa loob ng 240 calendar days,” said the province.
