Rep. Bordado beats Villafuerte patriarch in CamSur 3rd district congressional race
Camarines Sur Rep. Gabriel Bordado, Jr. has been reelected in office as he slayed the patriarch of the Villafuerte clan.
Bordado, running under the Liberal Party, was proclaimed congressman-elect of the third district of CamSur with 36,994 votes.
Bordado beat former CamSur Governor Luis Villafuerte with only 27,345 votes.
“The COMELEC has just proclaimed me as the duly elected representative of the 3rd district of Camarines Sur,” Bordado said.
“This will be my second term in the House of Representatives. Thank GOD! Thank you, INA! Thank you, my FRIENDS and SUPPORTERS,” he added.
Bordado first ran in 2016, replacing Leni Robredo who, in turn, was the standard bearer of Liberal Party for vice president.
Cho Roco of PDP-Laban placed third in the congressional race with 10,025 votes.
