Calapan City Mayor Panaligan wins by default

Calapan City Mayor Arnan Panaligan will be serving another term in office as he won by default.

Panaligan ran unopposed in Calapan City for his third and final term as the local chief executive.

“Maraming salamat po sa inyong patuloy na pagtitiwala. Thank you very much for your trust and support,” Panaligan said.

“To serve you as Mayor for a total of 6 terms is an honor that I will always treasure,” he said.

As of 11 am this morning, Panaligan garnered 46,396 votes.

“I will do my best to justify your faith and confidence. Gabayan nawa ako ng Panginoong Diyos sa aking panunungkulan. AMDG (Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam),” he said.

Meanwhile, Panaligan’s runningmate Vice Mayor Gil Ramirez is also poised to win another term in office.

As of 11 am, Ramirez leads the vice mayoral race with 40,307 votes.

Panaligan and Ramirez ran under PDP-Laban.
