The Palawan provincial government honored its war veterans during the 74th Liberation anniversary of the province from Japanese forces during World War II.

Palawan celebrated the 74th liberation anniversary by remembering the heroism of the war veterans last April 23.

The event was held at the Victoriano J. Rodriguez Hall of the Provincial Capitol, together with the family members of the war veterans.

Department of National Defense Undersecretary Reynaldo B. Mapagu said that the war veterans have contributed a lot to restore peace in the country and it is just fitting to honor them.

Mapagu.

The Palawan Liberation Task Force is composed of Palawan Provincial Government, Puerto Princesa LGU, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Puerto Princesa, Palawan Provincial Tourism Council, Filipino and American Memorial Endowment, Palawan Special Battalion World War II Memorial And Museum, and Rajah Travel Corporation.
