Lanete vows to push healthcare reforms in Masbate
Masbate gubernatorial candidate Scott Lanete vows to push healthcare programs in the province.
Lanete, who is currently serving as Masbate representative, has filed a bill that seeks to create the Dimasalang District Hospital.
The solon, who is a physician by profession, said that healthcare remains his top priority.
“As a doctor, healthcare has always been a big part of my work in government and personal advocacies,” Lanete said.
“In congress, we filed a bill that seeks to address an immediate healthcare need in the Province of Masbate, particularly in Dimasalang,” he added.
The gubernatorial candidate said that residents in Dimasalang have been “suffering from the lack of readily accessible healthcare.”
He said that the municipality only has the Rural Health Unit that caters to the needs.
“Although there are hospitals in the neighboring municipalities, there is a need for Dimasalang to have a hospital of its own so our people will not spend too much time and resources in travelling,” he said
Lanete also said that he hopes to continue working on his healthcare goals for the betterment of Masbate.
“Let’s make Masbate great,” he said.
