No more ML tournament, says Daraga Mayor Awin Baldo
Those who were looking forward to the Mobile Legends Tournament in the Provincial Youth Olympics will be disappointed, but rules are rules.
Daraga Mayor Awin Baldo announced on Facebook that the tournament would be cancelled because of the Commission on Elections resolution that bans the release or disbursement of public funds from March 29 to May 12.
Because of this, the provincial government opted to errr on the side of prudence and not release funds to avoid any legal entanglements.
But the ML fans won’t have to worry. The activities will resume in June after the election.
All hope is not lost!
“FYI: Cancellation of the Provincial Youth Olympics: Mobile Legends Tournament
This is for the reason that the said event is due to COMELEC’s Resolution 10511, Section 1: Ban on Release, disbursement, or expenditure of public funds effective March 29, 2019 to May 12, 2019.
The Provincial Government deemed it wise not to release funds to avoid any legal implications that may arise in relation to the said resolution.
Accordingly, the activities will resume on June 2019 immediately after election.
We will update the public as soon as the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO) notify us regarding this matter.
Thank you for understanding,” Baldo posted.
