Five local government units in Palawan are could possibly be the sites of a renewable energy program, the Energy department said.

The Department of Energy (DOE) held a discussion with the Provincial Government last March regarding the DREAMS project of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Global Environment Facility (GEF).

DOE Division Chief of Technical Services Management Gaspar Escobar Jr. said that the five municipalities are Aborlan, Brooke’s Point, San Vicente, Cagayancillo and Balabac.

The said municipalities are expected to submit their respective plans for the said renewable energy project.
