VP Leni Robredo fights for financial independence for women

0 287

Vice President Leni Robredo celebrated women’s month with her fellow Bicolanos in Tigaon and Sagñay, and she made sure to advance one of her advocacies that would empower women.

In a Facebook post, Robredo said she was heartened to learn that it’s not just women, but also men, who were joining in the celebration and recognizing its significance.

What makes her even happier is that the local government is supporting her call to help women become financially independent through livelihood assistance.

As a lawyer who had helped a lot of abused women, she knows how much a woman’s outlook changes when she knows she can support herself and her children on her own.

Now that she is Vice President, her advocacy continues.

Hopefully through her work, the Philippines will become a nation of independent women!
