Employees of the Palawan Capitol have undergone Demonstration on Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training recently.

The training, held last March 20, was spearheades by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.

Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Jeremias Y. Alili said that such training is important, specially now during summer season.

Meanwhile, Lorna Loor of the Provincial Health Office (PHO) said that learning such emergency procedure is helpful as contingencies usually happen in offices and schools.

“Kung mayroon tayong kaalaman tungkol sa basic life support or sa CPR, may intervention tayong magawa bago natin siya madadala ng hospital [at] mas malaki ang chance na mabuhay ang ating kamag-anak, kakilala o kaibigan,” said Loor.

The Capitol will also hold similar training in September as part of the Civil Service Month celebration.
