Escudero lays down infrastructure plans for Sorsogon
Sorsogon gubernatorial candidate Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero has laid down his infrastructure plans for the province.
Escudero, together with vice gubernatorial bet Atty. Wowo Fortes, 1st District congressional reelectionist Evelina Escudero as well as their Sangguniang Panlalawigan slate continued conducting dialogues in various parts of the province.
According to the senator’s office, one of the highlights includes an update on the network of barangay roads in Sorsogon.
“Escudero affirmed that by the end of 2019, 538 out of 541 barangays will have concrete roads. And by the end of 2020, all barangays will have concrete roads. He also disclosed that all roads will be upgraded from single-lane to double-lane roads,” the office said.
Present during the dialogue were barangay officials from Castilla (Canjela, Maracabac, Maypangi, Monte Carmelo, San Roque, Salvacion, Mayon, Miluya), Amomonting, and Dancalan), Bulusan (Bagacay, Salvacion, San Francisco, San Jose, Sta. Barbara), Irosin (Cawayan, Cogon, Macawayan), Gubat (Cabiguhan, Patag, Benguet, Villareal), and Bulan (A. Bonifacio, Beguin, Lajong, M. Roxas).
Escudero earlier presented his plans for the fishing sector in the province.
Among his proposals were:
• establishing ice plants in ports to maintain freshness of catch
• determining alternative sources of income during the monsoon season
• selling banca motors at affordable prices through municipal fishermen federations
