Daraga Mayor Awin Baldo tries to secure water supply
Maybe the water shortage in parts of Metro Manila has served as a cautionary tale?
Daraga Mayor Awin Baldo met with the Prime Water & Daraga Water District regarding the water shortage in the town.
Baldo, in a Facebook post, said they discussed ways to resolve the water supply problem, and have come up with several measures.
These are the development of additional water sources, the rehabilitation and repair of water mainlines, and the installation of booster pumps in order to increase water pressure, he said.
Daraga is also preparing for El Niño and would talk with experts on how to mitigate its effects.
Hopefully, the dry season won’t hit Daraga too hard!
“Meeting with Prime Water & Daraga Water District regarding water shortage
We have discussed essential measures in resolving the present water supply situation experienced by the Daragueños.
These include the on-going development of additional water sources in Brgy. Budiao and Anislag, rehabilitation and repair of water mainlines, and the on-going installation of booster pumps in order to increase water pressure.
Moreover, in anticipation of El Nino, we will be coordinating with the concerned individuals in our future meetings and operations to efficiently address this matter,” Baldo posted.
