Big hit! Mayor Rosal lauds successful drug operation of operatives in Legazpi City
Legazpi City Mayor Noel Rosal has lauded the successful operation of the police force last March 12 that yielded to the arrest of a suspected drug dealer.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 5 and the Legazpi City Police and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) have teamed up to implement a search warrant in Brgy. Cruzada.
The police operatives were under the supervision of IA 1 Fructuoso Perlas, Mayor Rosal said.
“On or about 1640H of March 12, 2019 joint operatives of PDEA ROV SPECIAL ENFORCEMENT TEAM in coordination with Legazpi City Police Station, NAVFORSOL RO5 and NBI RO5 led by IA 1 FRUCTUOSO PERLAS under the overall supervision of DIR II CHRISTIAN O FRIVALDO, RD, PDEA ROV implemented the Search Warrant No. Eml-19-86 in Sunrise Subd. Purok 5 ,Brgy Cruzada, Legazpi City which resulted to the confiscation of 15 pc heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu weighing MOL 15 grams and several paraphernalias,” Mayor Rosal said.
According to the mayor, the operation led to the arrest of suspect identified as Emmanuel Lopez y Sangingsing and suspected drug den visitors Harvey Manibog y Alindogan, Herny Jacob Jr y Salvador and Micheal Millena y Madelar.
“A case for violation of sec. 11, art. II of RA 9165 will be filed against the aforesaid suspects,” said the mayor.
“Let’s continue clearing our city of illegal drugs,” he added.
