Palawan Capitol lines up seminars, trainings as part of National Women’s Month celebration
The Palawan Capitol has lined up various of seminars and training activities this March for the celebration of the National Women’s Month.
The Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) slated activities starting March 11 to 15 for the celebration with the theme “We make change work for Women.”
“Ang pagdiriwang ay sisimulan sa pamamagitan ng parada ng mga kawani ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan kasama ang mga Barangay GAD Monitors mula sa iba’t ibang munisipyo,” said the province.
“Magsasagawa rin ng banal na misa at handicraft and food commodities expo 2019 sa unang araw ng pagdiriwang. Pangungunahan naman ng GoLokal at Department of Science and Technology-Palawan ang pagsasanay patungkol sa handicraft making at food processing sa hapon ng pagbubukas ng pagdiriwang,” it added.
The seminar workshop on gender mainstreaming and community development will be led by OIC-Regional Director Floreceli G. Guino of the Department of Social Welfare and Development – MIMAROPA.
On the third day, a seminar on Drug-Free Community and seminar on financial literacy will be offered.
Regional Director Florida M. Dijan of Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) – MIMAROPA and Melanie Condes from Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas will be the ones who will conduct the seminar.
A seminar workshop on gender equality and the advancement of women on the fourth day will be led by Commissioner Dr. Sandy S. Montano ng Philippine Commission on Women.
Ingvild Solvang from Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) will give talk on making gender equality: a goal for resiliency and green development on March 15.
“Ang mga Barangay GAD Monitors at mga kawani ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ang sasailalim sa mga naturang pagsasanay at seminar,” said the province.
