Naujan Mayor Mark Marcos debunks fake news of kidnapping

There is no truth to rumors that a kid was kidnapped behind Naujan’s public market, Mayor Mark Marcos wants to make clear.

In a Facebook post, Marcos said he had the police chief immediately verify the supposed kidnapping after news of it spread.

But no such incident took place.

Nevertheless, Marcos directed barangay officials to be vigilant and watch for suspicious activities in their areas. He also reminded parents to keep an eye on their children.

The claim may have been false, but it still doesn’t hurt to be safe.

MARK NAVARRO MARCOS,” Marcos posted.
