VP Robredo turns over school buildings in Naga City, Calabanga through her Angat Buhay
Vice President Leni Robredo has turned over two-classroom building to an elementary school in Naga City and another building intended for alternative learning center in Calabanga.
The school buildings were made possible through her Angat Buhay initiative, the flagship anti-poverty program of the OVP.
Robredo said that education has always been one of her top priorities ever since she entered politics as Camarines Sur solon.
“Education was one of my priorities when I was in Congress, and now, as Vice President, I am happy to come home and continue what I have started,” the Vice President said.
“Happy that we were able to turn over a two-classroom building for Tabuco Elementary School in Naga and a 1-storey building, which will serve as a youth center and ALS center for the residents of Bonot-Sta. Rosa in the nearby town of Calabanga,” she added.
Robredo hopes that these projects could change the lives of the beneficiaries.
“I hope that through this small step, we are able to start changing lives for the better and bring families closer to the quality of life we envision not just for them, but for their community as well,” she said.
Robredo also thanked the Angat Buhay partner, the Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) “for their unwavering generosity.”
