Outgoing Catanduanes Rep. Sarmiento thanks supporters for giving him chance to serve
Outgoing Catanduanes Rep. Cesar V. Sarmiento has expressed his gratitude to all the people who gave him the opportunity to serve.
Sarmiento is serving his last and third term as Catanduanes solon.
“Taos-puso pong nagbibigay ng Pasasalamat si Cong Cesar sa pagkakataong pinagkaloob sa kaniya na magsilbi bilang Congressman ng Catanduanes,” his office said.
The Congress has adjourned last week to give way for the official start of the election period.
The solon, who serves as the chairman of the House transportation committee, touted his achievements during his 9-year stint as representative.
“Dito po sa Kamara sinulong ang mga mahahalagang panukala na ngayon ay naging mga batas na,” his office said.
“Kabilang dito ang mga ipinaglaban ni Cong CS simula palang ng kaniyang unang termino sa ating Isla. Sa loob ng siyam na taong panunungkulan, walang sawa at walang pagod ang pagbigay niya ng Sinserong Serbisyo,” it added.
The Congress session will re-open on May 20 after the 2019 midterm polls.
“Kaya’t ipanalangin po natin na sana maging maayos at mapayapa ang halalan ngayon taon,” Sarmiento’s office said
Sarmiento is running for governor of Catanduanes. He’s attempting to unseat Gov. Joseph Cua.
