Catanduanes Rep. Cesar Sarmiento said that a bill seeking to set a national day of remembrance for road crash victims has been approved on second reading at the House of Representatives.

Sarmiento, chairman of the House transportation committee, introduced the House Bill 9069 at the floor.

“Aprubado sa kamara kanina bilang 2nd Reading ang House Bill 9069 – An Act Designating the 3rd Sunday of November every year as NATIONAL DAY OF REMEMBRANCE FOR ROAD CRASH VICTIMS, SURVIVORS, AND THEIR FAMILIES, ensuring its meaningful remembrance,” Sarmiento’s office said.

Sarmiento said that through the measure, he wants people to pay tribute to the victims of these road accidents.

The House transportation chairman also told all the people who travel everyday to take extra precautionary measures.

Mag-ingat po tayo,” the office said.
