Key Naga City officials turn over financial aid to 5 CamSur towns hit by Usman
Key officials of Naga City personally handed the financial aid to five Camarines Sur towns that have been affected by Tropical Depression Usman.
Vice Mayor Nelson Legacion led the turn over of checks to the beneficiaries, together with Councilors Cecilia Veluz De Asis, Ray-an Cydrick Gromeo Rentoy, Dodit Beltran and Kylie Tripulca.
The towns of Milaor, Minalabac, Bula, Buhi, and Nabua received P100,000 each from Naga City.
“The checks amounting to P100,000.00 for each municipality of Milaor, Minalabac, Bula, Buhi and Nabua were personally delivered today by Vice Mayor Nelson Legacion, Councilors Cecilia Veluz De Asis, Ray-an Cydrick Gromeo Rentoy, Dodit Beltran and Kylie Tripulca upon the request of Mayor John Bongat,” the city government said
“The five neighbour municipalities were severely affected by flooding and landslides brought by heavy rains of Tropical Depression “Usman,” it added.
The financial assistance to other local government was pursuant to Ordinance No. 2019-001 passed by the City Council.
“I, Councilors Cecilia Veluz De Asis, Ray-an Cydrick Gromeo Rentoy, Dodit Beltran, Kylie Tripulca and CSWD personnel delivered to Buhi today a check representing the city’s assistance to our less fortunate brethren adversely affected by Tropical Depression Usman. Similar assistance were also extended to other LGUs,” VM Legacion said.
