Eighteen rebel returnees in Palawan received P25,000 each as financial assistance from Governor Jose Ch. Alvarez.

The turnover ceremony was held at the Governor’s Conference Room in Palawan Capitol.

“Ang naturang tulong pinansyal ay magsisilbing panimula ng mga benepisyaryo sa kanilang pagbabagong-buhay partikular na ang pangkabuhayan nito upang mapanumbalik ang kanilang dignidad sa kanilang mga komunidad na kinabibilangan,” the province said.

The said program of the Palawan provincial government is in partnership with the Western Command (WESCOM), 3rd Marine Brigade, among others.

“Sana tuloy-tuloy na ang inyong pagbabalik loob sa amin,” said Capt. Lemuel Espartinez, Assistant Chief of Unified Command Staff (ACUCS) for Operations ng Philippine Navy- General Staff Course (PN- GSC) of WESCOM.

In relation to this, the rebel returnees will also get P65,000 each from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), said Lucita Padul, social welfare officer III of the PSWDO.

PSWD Officer Abigail Ablaña, meanwhile assured that their office is always open to the beneficiaries.

“Kung kayo po ay may kailangan pa, huwag po kayong mag-aatubiling lumapit sa Pamahalaang Panlalawigan at sa aming tanggapan dahil nakahanda po kaming ibigay kung ano man po ang inyong mga pangangailangan sa abot ng aming makakaya,” said Ablaña.
