Public officials turn into kings to honor the lord

0 191

For a day, Albay Rep. Fernando Gonzalez got to become a king.

This was because Gonzalez was one of the officials who played the part of the three kings in Ligao, Albay’s reenactment of the visitation of the three wise men during the birth of Jesus Christ.

This was part of Ligoa’s celebration of the Feast of the Epiphany.

Joining Gonzales in playing the role of the kings who brought gifts of gold, myrrh, and frankincense were Punong Barangay Amado Manlangit and City Councilor Ted Residilla.

They may be kings for a day, but they will always be public servants to their constituents!

“In celebration of the Feast of the Epiphany, the KawaKawa Management Group , in cooperation with the City Government of Ligao and the Carmelite Nuns of the Divine Mercy Shrine, held a reenactment of the visitation of the three wise men during the birth of Jesus Christ at the Bambusetum Grounds.

Dressed as the magi who brought gold, myrrh, and frankincense, Rep. Fernando V. Gonzalez, Punong Barangay Amado Manlangit, and City Councilor Ted Residilla took part in the reenactment of the nativity scene. Also present was Most Rev. Joel Z. Baylon, Bishop of Legazpi,” the City Government of Ligao Facebook page posted.
