Calapan Mayor Panaligan convenes disaster risk council to discuss Usman’s effects, New Year celebration
For the last day of office for this year, the top two leaders of Calapan City have convened the disaster risk management council.
Mayor Arnan Panaligan and Vice Mayor Gil Ramirez met with the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (CDRRMC) today to tackle the effects of Tropical Depression Usman.
The CDRRMC also discussed the preparation for the New Year celebration.
“Last office day of the year – City Mayor Arnan C. Panaligan, with Vice Mayor Gil Ramirez, convened the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (CDRRMC)…,” Panaligan’s office said.
The members of the council “discuss [the] preparations for the possible effects of the approaching storm as well as security and public safety measures for the long New Year holidays,” it added.
Present during during the meeting were concerned heads of City Government Departments.
Also in attendance were representatives from the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Ports Authority and other organizations.
