Naga City receives Presidential Award for Child-Friendly LGU
Mayor John Bongat has visited Malacañan Palace to receive Naga City’s child-friendly award.
Mayor Bongat dedicated the Presidential Award for Child-Friendly LGU to all “happy children of Naga.”
Bongat said that his city settled for second place behind Dagupan, and bested two other local government units namely, Ormoc City in the Visayas and Cotabato City in Mindanao.
“IN MALACAŇANG YESTERDAY to receive this Presidential Award for Child-Friendly LGU,” Mayor Bongat said
“Naga is second to Dagupan overall most child friendly independent component city, besting 2 other finalists, Ormoc City (3rd) in the Visayas and Cotabato City (4th) in Mindanao,” the Mayor said.
“Thank you Lord for this latest national recognition conferred to the City and, of course, to the NCCWPC members especially to my Co-Chairman Coun. Elmer S. Baldemoro and to all 27 Brgy Councils for the Protection of Children!,” he said.
“This award belongs to you and the happy children of Naga!”
