Apolinario Mabini would be proud! Naga Mayor John Bongat rejoices over PWD award
Mayor John Bongat is proud that Naga has been recognized for its efforts to help the differently-abled.
In a Facebook post, Bongat congratulated the people of Naga as he received its first Apolinario Mabini Award along with Councilor Elmer Baldemoro and other city officials.
The award is named after Mabini, the “Sublime Paralytic” and one of the country’s heroes who showed that his disability was not a hindrance to his genius that helped the Philippine revolution.
It is given to those who have helped persons with disabilities with their outstanding contributions to their cause.
It’s another feather in Naga’s cap!
“Congratulations to the People of Naga! AT THE CLUB FILIPINO LAST NIGHT to receive, on behalf of LGU Naga, its first Apolinario Mabini Award, together with Coun. Elmer Elmer S. Baldemoro (SP Chairman on PWD), Mr. Jun Tam Mongoso (City Administrator), Mr. Christopher Molin (OIC, PDAO) and Kgd Erning Paredes (President, NCPWD Fed.),” he posted.
