Plan your vacay! Albay Board Member Vic Ziga Jr. reminds his constituents that December 8 is a holiday
For the first time, December 8 will be a holiday after the President signed the law declaring this a non-working day.
The date is special because it is the Feast oft he Immculate Conception of Mary, who is the country’s principal patroness.
In a Facebook post, Albay Board Member Vic Ziga Jr. reminded his constituents about this holiday, which falls on a Saturday.
He reminded them to make the day memorable by spending time with family and spreading fun and happiness.
They could go to mass, too, to remember Mother Mary!
December 8 is now officially a special non-working holiday in the Philippines after President Rodrigo Duterte signed into law Republic Act 10966, “An Act Declaring December 8 of Every Year A Special Nonworking Holiday in the Entire Country to Commemorate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, the Principal Patroness of the Philippines.”
