Bringing Naga to the world! Mayor Bongat speaks at UN event in Bangkok, Thailand
Naga City Mayor John Bongat stepped on the world stage as he served as one of the panelists in a United Nations event in Bangkok, Thailand.
Mayor Bongat joined the 8th Regional Workshop on Integrated Resource Management: The Urban Nexus.
“From the Philippines to the World! AFTER A SPEAKING ENGAGEMENT IN CLARK, MY ITINERARY BROUGHT ME TO THAILAND to be one of Panel Resource Speakers/Discussants in an important UN activity,” said the Mayor.
“This High Level/Local Leaders Roundtable Discussion on opening day of the 8th Regional Workshop on Integrated Resource Management: The Urban Nexus features select local government integrated resource movers in Asia,” he added.
He said that he was earlier asked to to share with DOH Region III and local government units implementors the Naga City’s “gamechanging initiatives and innovations in implementing health interventions through effective SDN or Service Delivery Network.
And that led him to be invited as one of the panelists in the UN event.
Joining Bongat in Thailand were the Vice Mayors of Tanjungpinang, Indonesia and Korea, Thailand, and a City Director from Ulaanbaatar, the Mongolian capital.
“Thank you CPDO Head Wilfredo Briñas Prilles Jr., who is also here in Bangkok to speak in one session tomorrow, for helping me prepare for this talk and for sharing some of the photos,” Mayor Bongat said.
