Second part of Palawan’s Tourism Awareness Seminar slated

Everything is set for the second part of Tourism Awareness Seminar with Costumer Service for Rescue 165 Operation Centers employees in the northern part of Palawan.

The seminar will be held on November 12 to 23 and will be spearheaded by the
Palawan Provincial Tourism Promotions and Development Department (PTPDD) in partnership Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO).

The five operation centers that will undergo training include Rescue 165 Operation Centers in El Nido, Taytay, Dumaran, San Vicente and Roxas.

“Layunin ng pagsasanay na bigyang kaalaman ang mga partisipante patungkol sa industriya ng turismo, maipakilala ang kahalagahan at kontribusyon nito sa mga lokal na komunidad at mabigyang kasanayan ang mga ito sa pakikitungo sa mga turista,” said the provincial government.

The first part of the said training seminar was held last month for the employees of OpCens in Aborlan, Apurawan, Narra, Quezon and Brooke’s Point.

Elcer D. Cuenca, accredited resource speaker from the Department of Tourism discussed the importance and impact of tourism, child-wise tourism, values formation and customer service excellence.

Milma Sangkula from Bantay Palawan Task Force discussed human trafficking while Leizl R. Ogdamin, supervising tourism operations officer ng PTPDD, gave update about the status of tourism sector in Palawan

“Nagpasalamat naman ang mga team leader ng bawat Opcens sa Pamahalaang Panlalawigan dahil sa mga kaalaman na kanilang natutunan na magagamit sa pagganap ng kanilang mga tungkulin bilang taga-pagresponde sa panahon ng sakuna o kalamidad,” said the provincial government.
