Gov. Firmalo files candidacy for Romblon congressman; Fabella runs as governor
Romblon Governor Eduardo “Lolong” Firmalo has officially filed his certificate of candidacy as congressman for 2019 polls.
Firmalo, who is currently serving his last term as Romblon governor, filed his COC together with his other partymates.
Engineer Robert “Bong” Fabella will run as Romblon governor, and Dongdong Ylagan as his vice governor.
“Inihain na ng aming grupo ngayong umaga ang aming kandidatura para sa eleksyon sa Mayo 13, 2019: ang inyong lingkod, Lolong Firmalo, para sa Congressman; Bong Fabella para sa Gobernador; at Dongdong Ylagan para sa Bise-Gobernador,” Governor Firmalo said.
“Minimithi namin na ipagpatuloy ang pag serbisyo na may puso at sinseridad sa mga mahal naming Romblomanon. Sulong, Romblon!,” he added
Ylagan, for his part, said that they will continue to carry the fight for the people of Romblon.
“Patuloy po ang pagbuhos ng tulong at suporta, kayo po ang nagbibigay lakas ng loob sa amin ituloy ang labang ito, kung patuloy po tayong mapanuri, mapagmatyag, at mapagbantay kakayanin po natin ang labang ito. Maraming maraming salamat po,” said Ylagan.
Meanwhile, Firmali also announced their slate for provincial board members:
For 1st District – former PNB Manager Obet Madera, Brgy Kagawad Alping Moreno, retired General Linda Mingoa, at former Mayor Dindo Rios
For 2nd District – former Councilor Daryle Galindez, former Councilor Arman Fainsan, former Councilor and Radio announcer DJ Bing Solis, at retired Judge and former Governor Joe Madrid.
