Naga City bags Galing Pook award
The City of Naga has added another feather to its cap as it bagged award from the Galing Pook Foundation.
Mayor John Bongat personally received the awards for the Naga City’s Barangay eSkwela and Barangay Literacy Worker program.
“NAGA MAKES IT! Congratulations Naga! Tonight, we just received the nth award recognizing Naga’s excellence in governance, this time from Galing Pook Foundation!,” said Bongat.
“Our combined Barangay eSkwela and Barangay Literacy Worker program for a more inclusive education, particularly giving hope to the neglected out-of-school children, youth and adults!,” he added.
Bongat, a who is serving his last term as Mayor, said that the award belongs to the people of Naga.
“Congratulations my beloved Naga City, the 27 barangay councils, and the people of Naga. This award belongs to you!,” Bongat said.
“Special thanks to ESSO headed by Mr. Ernani Suron, the DepEd Naga ALS Team and ALS Teachers, Instructional Managers and facilitators, and the city’s Literacy Volunteer Workers and most especially our 27 hardworking Barangay Literacy Workers, the STARS OF THE NIGHT!,” he said.
